The Chicago based Veil Of Maya encompass the good old American blue collar work ethic and have definitely taken the hard road to success grinding it out on the road through countless tours over the years, but now that backbreaking schedule is paying off tenfold. This quartet are one of the few very bands that can authentically mix elements of progressive metal, melodic death metal, thrash and hardcore brutality together effectively, all while keeping the listener constantly interested with baited breath wondering just what is coming next. This is exactly why they will have a career for years to come.
VEIL OF MAYA will be embarking on a massive North American tour alongside Darkest Hour, labelmates Periphery and Revocation this Nov/Dec, so be sure to either see below or head over now to www.myspace.com/veilofmaya to view their entire tour schedule. Also, be sure to check out their new eye-popping video clip for the track, “Unbreakable,” shot by renowned director Raul Gonzo.
“We are definitely stoked to tour with darkest hour, I’ve been a fan for awhile and am excited to be part of the legacy tour with them! I’m also excited to be back out with our friends in Periphery – it’s always exciting to watch them play!”
-Sam Applebaum – Drums
“We are all pumped to be on the Darkest Hour legacy tour… We met the dudes a while back and they’re so awesome to be around! We are playing a couple new songs from [id] and we can’t wait to re-visit some of the great places we came through on Summer Slaughter! It’s a great tour with a lot of awesome bands, and friends new and old! We hope to see everyone there, and we’ll of course be hanging around our merch booth every night, so come say what’s up!”
-Brandon Butler – Vocals
VEIL OF MAYA’s dynamic second full-length album, [id], was met with rave reviews and quickly caught the attention of the underground with its refreshing and unique approach.
