There is no doubt that PERIPHERY are innovators and guitarist Misha Mansoor is being hailed by industry experts and his peers as one of the main purveyors of this current Djent movement that is feverishly spreading throughout the progressive circles. This Maryland based six-piece now embarks on a North American tour alongside Fair To Midland and Scale The Summit. This five-week trek is going to be a monster and see below or visit www.facebook.com/peripheryband to view the entire touring itinerary.
Guitarist Alex Bois states: “This tour couldn’t have come at a better time! We are fresh off of our first UK/EU tour and hungry to return to our home crowds. We’ve all been HUGE fans of both bands for a while now and it will be great to finally share the road/stage with them. I think our styles compliment each other in such a way that this tour will be as educational as it is exciting. Our new Icarus Lives EP will also be released on April 19th, so we’re also stoked to be showcase some tracks from it.
“We just drove over 1,400 miles to Houston to start our tour with Fair to Midland and Scale the Summit. Unfortunately, FTM and STS had to pull-out of the first four dates in Texas due to an illness but fear not, we are still playing those venues on those dates as a headliner with a go-go-gadget extendo set-list for all to enjoy. Well, all except today in Houston where we decided to find our own venue (house of creeps) and do a completely free show! Yes, our show is cheaper than Walmart or Target.
“We’ll meet up with our boys in FTM and STS on Tuesday in Arizona and begin bamboozling North America. Both of these bands are amazing and were stoked to see everyone’s reactions to such a tasty line-up. See you all soon.”
Also, the group’s visually stunning masterpiece for the track, “Jetpacks Was Yes,” can be viewed above or at the link below. The video was produced by Eric Haviv, Richard Webb, and Brandon Morris of FUGO Studios (www.fugostudios.com).
