The legendary guitarist Gary Moore passed away early this morning in Spain. Moore was known among rock fans for his stints with Irish hard rock titans Thin Lizzy, and appeared as lead guitarist on the band’s most successful studio album, Black Rose: A Rock Legend.
As a solo artist, Moore released over 20 albums, most of which featured his impassioned take on the blues. Moore was known throughout his career for his fiery, melodic performances, and left his mark on a range of guitarists including Kirk Hammett, the late Randy Rhoads, and Joe Bonamassa.
