On January 28th of 2011, Guthrie Govan returns to Boston’s Berklee College of Music to play at the Berklee Performance Center, where he conducted a clinic for students and faculty the previous winter. Guthrie will be supported once again by faculty member and fellow guitarist Jon Finn and his band, Jon Finn Group. Concerts at the Berklee Performance Center are open to the general public – tickets for this show are $15 each.
Additionally, guitarists are encouraged to enter the Guthrie Govan Guitar Contest for a chance to jam live with Guthrie and Jon Finn Group at the BPC show! Contestants will download a backing track at the event’s Facebook page and record a video of themselves soloing over the track. The player who gets the most votes will play with Guthrie and win Suhr gear plus a $100 gift card from Daddy’s Junky Music across the street!
