Progressive Metal/Jazz or ‘Djazz’ ensemble Ever Forthright has released ‘Dispose Of Your Optimism,’ their third song with new vocalist Chris Barretto, of Friend For A Foe and formerly Periphery.
The NYC-based collective is currently working on a full-length album scheduled to debut in early 2011. Along with jazz, Ever Forthright mixes elements of hip hop, DnB and pop into their djenty brew.
Check out the band’s SoundCloud to sample the chugging, churning new ‘Dispose Of Your Optimism,’ along with the band’s previous release, ‘The Counter Shift‘ – a fusion of jarring, syncopated riffs and eerily pleasing vocal harmonies. While you’re checking out the new track, catch up with the boys on their Myspace and Facebook pages and show them some love by picking up a bit of band merch.
