A guitarist since age seven, Instrumental Rock Guitarist Don Lappin began playing professionally at age 11 with an original rock group located in northeastern Ohio. The “Destroyers” gigged continuously and in 1980, were voted into the top 10 original acts in the state. After moving to New England in 1981, Don spent his teenage years with various teachers and bands before attending Berklee College of Music in January of 1990, graduating “summa cum laude” with a Bachelor’s degree in performance.
Don has performed with Michael Sweet, Jonathan Mover, Steve Hunt, Chad Wackerman, Joe Santerre, Guthrie Govan, and many others. Don's releases include his EP "Fine Lines", "Don Lappin's Two-Hand Technique - The Complete System" DVD set, and his 2013 release "Tapped In", featuring Steve Hunt on Keys, Joe Santerre on Bass, and Chad Wackerman on Drums. Since 1997, Don has been an in-demand Professor on the Guitar Department of Berklee College of Music.
