Fractal Audio Systems, the creators of the popular Axe-Fx Standard and Ultra guitar processors, have announced their plans to release the new Axe-Fx II. Among the model’s innovations are Fractal’s new G2 Amp Modeling Technology, which features detailed vacuum tube and power amp simulations and makes exclusive use of one of the unit’s two dual-core processors.
The new unit also boasts compatibility with USB 2.0 for audio streaming and remote control, improved connectivity with the MFC-101 MIDI foot controller, twice the RAM of its predecessors, a headphone jack that sits above the front instrument input and a larger LCD display.
