Swedish progressive metal legends Opeth will be entering Stockholm’s Atlantis Studios on January 31st of the new year to start recording their tenth album, which they expect to release later in 2011. Jens Bogren, who worked with Opeth on Watershed and with their friends Katatonia on The Great Cold Distance, will be engineering the album. Mixing duties will be handed by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, who co-produced Opeth’s classic Blackwater Park album and is collaborating with Opeth frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt on a much-anticipated project called Storm Corrosion – also set for a 2011 release.
